Helen Peterson has over 25 years experience working with people in the community with most of her experience being advocating for peoples rights. She is passionate about the rights of all New Zealanders with a special interest in those who struggle to have a voice through mental, physical or intellectual disability. She has supported numerous families and others through the Guardianship process and developed an in depth understanding of the 'Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act 1988'. She has done this primarily whilst working as an Advocacy Lead with 'Spectrum Care Trust' and previously as an Abuse and Neglect Field Officer with 'Age Concern'.

Karon Edmondson has spent her entire career of over 30 years in the New Zealand disability sector as well as overseas. Beginning as a support worker she realized her passion to support people with disabilities to live their best lives, and then continued to support individuals and families to pursue their rights. She has developed policies in Health and Safety and professional learning packages. Karon has also been a mentor and trainer to professional staff. She holds a personal and professional motto of "supporting disabled people to have expectations of a quality of life like their peers, as well as to be able to recognise and practice their rights with support to achieve their own idea of a great life.
Jasmine Hoffman has extensive experience as a support worker, working with people with intellectual disabilities. She is a strong and capable advocate with an in-depth understanding around rights.
She is in her final year of working towards a Social Work degree, and a new mum of a beautiful baby boy Theo.
