AGS (Adult Guardianship Services) aims to serve and support the population of New Zealanders aged 18 years and over (and their natural supports) with services that raise the voice of people who experience difficulties with decision making and/or communication.
We believe in maximizing the voice of those Adults who through intellectual, mental or physical disability or illness, struggle to make decisions.
We work hard to ensure vulnerable adults have advocacy and/or decision making support that ensures they are protected from physical and/or mental harm. We work alongside individuals, families and service providers to ensure the person (who requires advocacy and/or decision making support) is heard and appropriate action is taken to ensure their needs and wants are met.
